flywheel spacer

Postby bluemaumau » Sun Jun 29, 2008 10:38 pm

ive asked a few people and im still a little lost.

ive got a 4age 20v(silvertop auto) crank and block
and a e58(ae101 gtz lsd) flywheel.

then i found these spacers.

im 99.9% sure one is from my old 4agze setup and the other is form the auto 20v.

so im asking for confirmation on which one to use and where exactly it goes

e.g

between crank and flywheel or between flywheel and bolts.

note
one is around 3-4mm thick (left)
one is dished and around 1-2mm thick (right)

hah same with me, never saw one on my bluetop setup (hope they weren't required).

but there was one on my manual 4agze engine, pretty sure its the 3-4mm one in the left of your pic. and fairly sure its between the flywheel and crank/block.

that too is how I suggested, but I was not 100% sure.

Ive never seen one on any of my manual engines, but I have found them on the auto ones Ive taken apart.

When I did put my e58 on the liftback, I didn't use any spacers

Spacers are used on flex plate of auto engine.

Thick spacer goes to crank shaft thin is bolt side with curved side away from flex plate face

Manuel Toyota engines never have spacers between crank shaft and flywheels from factory.

Only auto engines.

That's what I thought. I've never seen a spacer on any of my 4AGEs or 4AGZEs. Leave them out I say!
