Corona: What motor and what model code?

Just wondering what the model code is for these Corona's and what motor they have in them? Is it injected or carb? also, do they use the same running gear as the later model ones (the bigger ones that look like whales)?

Came with 3S and 4S engines.

That one being twincam and 2L I would guess a 3S-FE as most of them are.


$2000 is a bit steep, can usually find them for under a grand if you look. Tidy ones a little bit more but up to you.

With the kms that one has done you'd probably want to do cambelt and waterpump (pump is driven off the cambelt, and they tend to break around those kms and throw the cambelt off).

and nothing beats a Toyota heater/demister in winter

Sweet, was just wondering about them. My brother has the big fat Corona model. It seemed to go ok and was good on gas. I was just wondering if these were injected as well though.

Well my Dad had an ST171 Corona with the 3SFE.
This is of course, fuel injected...

Actually was a really good car - we had it for a rather long time...
