Blktop&Silvertop VVT pully.The same???

Would a Blacktop VVT Pully fit a Silvertop cam??

Anybody know.

nope the locating pins are different. You can use the black pulley if you use blacktop cams and that all just bolts in

I think it's keyed differently. Its definately considerably different in cam advance, as such even if it does match I wouldnt try it.

the black top cam gear will fit on and your engine will run afterwards, and know it wont destroy your engine. ive seen it done

odd... I had a quick "try" to slip a blacktop gear onto a silvertop cam and the keys did seam to be located slightly different so it wouldn't slip in with out force. Also the timing will be upto shit. best to try an get the whole package... cams and wheels

well when i done it, i used a black tops vvt pully complete and put it on the silver tops camshaft, it went on sweet as, and the car ran fine, better in fact(old pully was stuffed) unless the silver top already had the black top cams in it or the black top secondhand engine had a silver vvt pulley, but the car runs fine
