Anyone on here own a bB?

Hey guys and girls,
I've been popping in and out of here for a year or so now, as a reader, but my fiance and I have just recently decided to sell up our S14a Silvia's and get a couple of bB's. So I am wondering if anyone on here has, or curently owns a bB? If so, whats your thoughts on them, any hassles, issues you'd care to share?

I tried using the search function, but according to that, nothig about bB's has been posted on here yet

ok for around town.
if you like to DRIVE cars..... they suck. big time.

basicly an echo underneath so reliable, but heavier so slow.
didnt drive one consistanly enough to find out how the weight effects fuel economy though

biggest worry is parts, like lamps and glass. we had one stuck at work for 3 weeks waiting for a rear screen to come from japan

I honestly can't believe how unknown they are here. I lived in Japan for couple of years, back around 2001 and I when saw these and the Honda Cappa's, along with all the off the shelf bolt on's for them, I was sure they'd be popular over here in the main cities
We both realise they are a big change in performance, from the Silvia's, but the fact we will still have the S15 we are building, for more spirited driving and track days, etc...makes it an easier decision to make . My intial interest in one, was as a promo car....but after we took a few for test drives, I was actually quite surprised how good they were to drive and decided I could quite happily use it as my daily aswell
My fiance was sold on the looks and the fact they come with a 4.5 out of 6 star rating, on the fuel saver site .

I've seen a couple. They kinda grow on you - in a good way, not the fungus way.

Yeah prehaps not everyones choice
But to me they're an ideal as both a run around and road tripping car. Comfy as, plenty of room, good on gas and not totally butt ugly that ya aint never gonna pick a lady or two up with it
But I reckon a set of suitable shoes and some adjustment of the ride height and even a stocker can look good enough,

I'm waiting with interest to see if the popularity of the tiny cars picks up, as fuel prices go through the roof.

I know cars like Starlets have always held their value superbly, but I am picking that anything 1500cc or less will start being worth their weight in gold.

Especially with the emissions laws meaning you can't really import anything older than 2000 or so ... thus no more mid 90's cheapies coming into the fleet.

Will we see the prices of a Nissan Cube, a Suzuki whatever their little square thing, etc suddenly go banana's?

hell, noticed an 01 Altezza RS200Z manual for $5 under $15000 round town the other day... thats pretty damn cheap for one of them.

My mrs has an 1100cc Kia Picanto... she got offered over $1000 more than she paid for it 9 months ago by a neighbour.

I quite rate bB's, and you can get some insane bolt on turbo kits etc in Japan for them.
Buy one in black, and slam it on some 14x8 Work Equips with 185/55's
