Where to get stiffer W Series gearbox mounts?

Postby Rick » Sun Jul 06, 2008 11:47 am

I am after a stiffer gearbox mount for my W55. Can you get aftermarket ones or do they have to be custom made?

Sorry for the rubbish picture:

Fill empty space with windscreen urethane let dry 24hrs

Enjoy stronger than stock mount

Buy urethane from windsreen install shop expect to pay $30-$50 for good stuff

Sorry, I thought you meant replace the old "rubber" and use window sealant for the whole thing. You mean the whole at the bottom, fill THAT area!

Oops - my mistake hah

That's been done on the FWD torque mounts, never driven a car with it but it's meant to make a hell of a difference.
