Swapping S54 to E56

Postby AE86less » Tue Jul 08, 2008 12:14 am

Re Kinloud's Pickapart thread:

I'm thinking very seriously about heading out to grab the ST202 gearbox that he spotted. Before I go though: Are the shafts different (splines/length)? Are there any other bits that I'll want to take as well? The box will be going onto another ST202 3sge.

Also, anyone know what a gearbox costs at pickapart?

The E56 ST202 box will drop straight into your car if you grab the right bits.

IMO
Grab gearbox, mounts and driveshafts including hanger bearing off back of engine.

Maybe also grab starter motor, gearbox cables, clutch slave and lines - these might be different???

If you want the build plate... it is in the right side compartment in the boot... just inside the little door.
I really don't know how it got there or how I "managed" to "find" it there!

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

:? Last time I checked about a month ago their pricelist wasn't up. Cheers Though!

I am certain that all the cables and things will be different as the engine is going into my AE82, think it may still be an idea to grab them?

I'm going to go and do some of my own research now
