Or picture to identify?

Problem being the amp is fukt so have to go out and purchase a new one and don't have specifications on the wattage of the sub. All it says is 8/2 ohms on the back. Any recommedations on what I should do in regards to buying the right amp? Also is it best to run the dual voicecoils in series or parallel off the one channel? And does it make a noticeable difference fitting the sub into a smaller box as I have limited space in my boot? I'm not after anything too serious from the sub as I listen to rock.

Going by the fact it says 8/2 ohm it must be dual 4 ohm voice coils (in series for 8ohm, parallel for 2). You will want to run it in parallel to make the most power from your amp.
In regards to what amp, I would be looking at getting a mono amp so you can run the voice coils in parallel to the one channel at 2 ohms. Your other option is to get a powerful 2 channel and run one coil off each channel.
For boxes, smaller boxes tend to produce tighter bass, but can also "choke" the sub.
Like DeeCee said, if you can find the model number then its alot easier to make these decisions

sure, if you want your amp to die.
Underpowering the sub will put a lot of pressure on the amp.
Also if you run parallel onto an amp that isn't rated for 2ohm, you run the risk of killing something unless you know what your tolerances are.
If it is 4ohm DVC, then you can run at 2ohm bridged on an amp, or run 4ohm per channel, of course with gain matching.
