scored me a mint cressida with a 7m ge, not familea with these engines so are they any main problems they get?

Blown head gaskets is the main problem with M series engines.

5Ms didn't seem to suffer as much as the 7M-GE or the 7M-GTE. The first thing I did after getting a 7M-GTE was to torque the head to 72 lbs/ft. The Supra guys would recommend pulling the head and the block, getting them checked for straightness, slapping in a new head gasket and torquing to 72.
