Tyre size

Postby Nezza » Tue Aug 12, 2008 6:13 pm

Hey, I have a 1990 toyota hilux SSR wagon. I am wanting to get some bigger tyres for it. Does anyone know how wide and high i can go before i have to start modifying anthing.

I read on a differential chart that i had a 31" tyre option, does this mean that bigger sizes will require alterations to the vehicle?

Cheers!

31 x 10.5 15's are the biggest guarantee'd fit if you use rims that are the right offset for the IRS model hilux. as far as heigh goes, you could possibly get away with some 265/75/16's which are slightly taller and basically the same width. anything larger and you'll need to trial things to get exact fitment

i can supply you some new rims with the correct offset etc for you surf, either 15 x 7 or 15 x8, take your pick. if you're putting 31 x 10.5 x 15's on them then i'd reccomend 15 x 7's, I can supply these to you for $340 inc gst delivered. they are brand new Speedy white Dessert Rats
