Antifreeze in cylinders

Postby samlloyd » Mon Sep 22, 2008 6:21 pm

Sounds worse then it is,

If your familiar with an RB intake manifold, they also run water through them, when i was taking mine off, a bit of liquid ran into the motor :x Dried up all the liquid that was sitting on the valves, but naturally some of the valves were open.

Its not a lot of fluid but anyideas to get it out

Heatgun?

Sponge on a string and hope it doesnt fall off?

pull the plugs, with long nose air gun try blown all water out with rag over the top of it, then crank over with out the plugs, and repeat until the waters gone.

something along those lines will be fine. it takes a whole cylinder full of water for it to hydraulic. just blow the excess out, chuck it all back together and fire it up. any excess moisture will be imediately evaporated.
