wheres a long enough road that allows you to "officially" go 200mph ...
i can think of a few but "illegally" would be the more appropriate word :?

I have officially done 170 MPH at a closed road speed event at the St.Francis Line just north of Carterton clocked on a police radar gun.

What makes that R34 speed more impressive was that it was done in damp conditions.......... 8O

The fastest official I've heard a Supra do is a friend of mine in CHCH did a closed road speed event just outta Ashburton and was officially clocked at 184 MPH just losing out to a Suzuki Hayabusa which won the event with 185 MPH.

top speed is a bit of a wonky thing to compare cars by, so much of it comes down to gearing!

your 300hp MR2 would probably smash a bonneville highspeeder to 180 and run out of legs when the specialized car flicks by just starting to hit its straps.

i know which i would rather drive on the road though :D

I have taken mine of the clock, and i have a 280km speedo but i think i would need a taller diff to get past that 200mph mark, and it dos not take long to get up to that speed just need a flat road.

yeah but that has been "temporarily disabled" for maybe 2 years now?

The proposed replacement for the Profiles never eventuated; support for the old profiles system was lacking and it became a security issue....

Ive just approved the remaining outstanding submissions. Those with an existing profile can submit their times as per usual...

Yes. That was the intention.
For various reasons it wasnt implemented.
I expect the next move for TS will be an upgrade to phpBB v3...
Once thats done then maybe we'll consider further tweaks.

This is dragging away from the OP, however...
