WOF requirements for an intercooler??

Does anyone here that deals with wofs or certs know if you have to have a cert for a front mount intercooler???

Why I ask, the flatties sister went for a wof today and they failed her on her intercooler for not been cert'd.
(this is 3rd hand info (so dont quote me on this part), but...) they said something along the lines of "cause its a pre '99 first reg'd in NZ after '02 or '03...then it must have a cert for the intercooler". (wtf???)

Anybody know of or heard of any of this??

Hmmm yea, sounds like that is what he was talking about.
Oh well, seems she has to go get a cert for the intercooler, sounds like its just ganna be a good excuse for her to go out and get some adjusties and a whole long list of other things done to the car, then just get a cert for all of it in one go lol.
