Well as the subject says...

Are the organisers keen to arrange something?

i can think of a location for CHCH and Otago guys to meet up in early December, maybe even some of them could play while here.

I'll probably be keen. Although I think there is an MR2 club run to kaikora during Labour weekend.

scottyj, labour weekend was a joke as thats when toyspeeds MEGAmeet is on. Nationwide meet, this year in wellington.

either way Kaikoura is usually a good run, too many speed traps for my liking tho

Not sure about Hiroshima meet tbh Ollie.... :)

What's happened to the cruise down to Timmas, watch the racing (the last track day i went to) then back again?? Like couple of years back? That would be good if some TS'ers even entered

as i mentioned, Chris. planning has started and once details are finalised, information will be posted but.............

6th December is down as the annual Street car day at Levels .
appprox. $50-70 to enter.
1/4 mile and circuit sprints
maybe a sealed auto-x
maybe other activities??

there you have my effort to organise and event, any other suggestions??

Nothing else comes to mind that would be along similar lines to that.

Now do i enter FX or enter the HSV (which would go down well i bet!!!)
which wouldn't really be too affordable either way!

I personally dont think its a great idea to base a meet/cruise around a race event. For the reasons being that it is well known for toyspeeders to not have much cash.

I feel a simple meet and maybe local cruise should get greater numbers.

This is only my own opinion based on that I wouldnt go to a timaru race meet unless one of the teams I pit for are racing, and if they are, I wouldnt have much time to meet toyspeeders anyway.

Elmo, it is not a race meeting as such, more of a fun day for guys to get a taste of track based motorsport. being central it works good for CHCH and Dunedin people.

Yes as Joe said, several years ago we had a cruise down to Timaru (and up for Dunedin TS'ers) at one other public track day.

Or there was another cruise down to Timaru where Dunedin guys came up to Timaru and met up.

Or alternately could maybe organise a meet or cruise in Chch. will have to make an arrangement
