Shot out to get lunch from work today, and had the same old problem, which seems to be getting slightly worse. Hit a bit of a bump where the road joined and lost power, gained it back again a second later.

Looks like I'll be replacing the TPS. Might have to take a look at my ST184's TPS. Doubt it'll be the same though.

As a temporary measure, I've unplugged the TPS, and the problem is gone. I'll get a new TPS in the next week or so :s

Nice bump, but,

Car was fine for over a week with the TPS unplugged, but now it's starting to do the same thing, even with the TPS unplugged. It's got me stumped :S.

Any further ideas?

Gunna try pulling the codes when I get some fine weather.

Things I'm thinking now are;
  • Dodgy earths
  • Fuel pump
  • Possible dodgy intake
  • Possible leaking vac (noticed when hitting bumps) (unlikely)

I'm not sure though... :\

Wouldn't work even if I had my hands on the problem the whole time. Revs are no problem at all, the car just drops all torque/power, and you'd probably have a push bike overtaking you at the speed I'd be gaining speed at. ;-/

Pulled codes tonight, got 41 and 51, got 51 before, but 41 is just TPS signal, which is to be expected, due to the fact it's unplugged :S.

I could do that, but mmm.

Problem isn't nearly as bad as when the TPS was plugged in, but still significantly bad. I've got a decent drive ahead of me during Labour Weekend, and need this sorted.

Ideas guys? :\
