All of these are good reasons...Also remember that Mr toyota sells genuine parts at a highly inflated prices and the more you wear his bearings the more likely it is that you need to buy new parts from him. I never park my cars in gear anyway as I start them before getting in and my handbrake is always working well.

Also sitting at the lights with your foot on the clutch rapes the shit out of your release bearing and pressure plate fingers aswell, and driving with your foot even touching the clutch pedal (called toe riding) wears on all the parts in your bell housing and block that hold the crank in place, Therefore the only time you touch the clutch pedal is when you change gear.
