Name that B.O.V!!!

Postby Emz » Mon Oct 20, 2008 9:10 pm

Hi all,

I have this BOV. It came out of my Supra.
When I brought the car the seller told me it had a genuine BLITZ bov.

Is this a real BLITZ? there are no identifying marks/branding on it, except for the remains of what looks to be a blue sticker with something that can't be made out on it.

So.... anyone recognise what it might be?? Is there any way to tell authenticity?

If thats Blitz it must be like 10+ years old :? Just looks like a random generic BOV to be honest.

Yeah, it certainly dosn't look like the newer blitz bovs. I noticed they all have the logo embossed into them aswell.

I have that very same blow off , I got it off a guy on trade me for $60 , it was on a car from japan and he wanted a "name" brand I guess .
Apart from being quite large , it has worked well on my race car, I was told its called a "sheepdog" 8O , if true the japanese are very strange.

I would guess that it's made by a tuning company in japan , be interesting to see if any more info comes to light

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Looks like the old racepro blaster, which was a crappy NZ designed and made valve back in the days where having a 323 DOCH TURBO with a "t3/t4" was "badass", and Having a GSR is means you're pretty loaded.

100% not a Blitz.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

Yeah even the older type (Pre DDrive ones) still had Blitz cast into them, and were shorter looking than that one.
