3sge with oil in intake. With oil catchcan fitted. Ideas?

Postby Titties » Mon Nov 03, 2008 9:38 pm

Hey
I'm getting oil in all 4 of my intake runners.
i have a catchcan setup. so there is no oil getting in after the air filter.
it looks like it's either coming from the cylinder themselves or the intake valve guides. then the oil is making its way back up the runners towards the plenum.

Has anyone encountered this before? i just thought it was wierd because it's happening on all 4 runners, not just 1 or 2.

Any ideas would be good.

Cheers, Mike

There are two breather pipes that go from the rocker cover to the intake...

One is before the throttle body, the other is directly into the plenum.

Are both of them going to a catch can?

If not, one will still be sending 'dirty' air into your intake.

yup both of them are going into the catch can.
there is no oil sources into the intake/plenum.
thats why i'm guessing valve seals. but it's wierd hows it's all 4 runners
