Are the siler & black top interchangable?

i dont actually know but i think they are maybe do some researce on google coz ive found alot of info about both engines and they are quite different in the head and cams

Yeah, they're different. I had mine replaced by the dealer when I got the car with a low-km one, he had to sift through a couple to get a quiet one. My silvertop sounded like a diesel at idle beforehand!

Man it pisses me off.

nice clean engine all new and runs awesome.
Except the stupid noise.
I allready repaleced it once but i can hear its coming back again.

What adds to it is its harder to find a blacktop for parts than the silvertop.

I maight change to adj gears. solve it all.

I priced one the other week, was about $350, or slightly under.
