UZZ30 Dash Language & Lowering

Postby Toymota2 » Thu Nov 27, 2008 10:01 pm

Hi,

I was wondering if you could change the little message that comes up on the bottom of the soarer dash to read in english?? I have one on constantly that is in japanese and unfortunatly i didnt pay much attention in that class to interpret  .

Also on a side note what lowering springs give the biggest drop in these cars?? I am looking at a set of Tein ones at the moment and just seeing what your guys thoughts are?

Thanks.

Cool thanks.

The code i am getting up is telling me engine electrical system but i have had it scanned by toyota and another workshop and neither of them have been able to pick up what the problem is. Anyone else come across this problem??

Thanks again.

Run the diags as per http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messa ... 3/862.html and see what codes you get

see if you get any codes. if you dont, engine electrical system can mean a variety of things.it can mean the alternator is not charging correctly or battery is low. it can mean the 02 sensor wiring is stuffed(wires touching together and giving an incorrect reading) or another sensor with faulty wiring,so the earths are dodgy, or the output signal from the sensor is going to earth. it mucks up the parameters of the electrical system, and the code pops up.

ive had a car in work with same problem quite a while ago, i checked the charge rate -normal (was 14.2v)
to cut long story short it was a blown alternator sensing fuse in the left hand front fuse box.
