For a AE101 4AGZE:

1) BLACK - Coil Output no.2
2) BLUE - Coil Output no.1
3) YELLOW - Tachometer drive
4) GREY - Ignition feedback from igniter to stock ECU
5) WHITE - Toggle input
6) PINK - Ignition input
7) TAN - +12V Power
Body of Igniter - GROUND

isn't it actually an IGNITOR ?, a module controls the advance etc

Yes it is an igniter not a module,

but module's don't control advance either.

A module controls Dwell and coil current.
An igniter is just a high speed relay.

Sorry to bump an old thread for a quick question, but I searched and found this and figured its better than starting a new thread.

I am wiring a G1 V3 link into my AE101 4AGZE in a AE82, using the factory GZE dual channel ignitor to run the factory GZE coils.

Can someone confirm what the 'Toggle input' and 'Ignition feedback' are for, and if they are required for the link?

Cheers

Standard 4AGZE igniter is not compatable with that ECU.

sucks. what will I need to buy to run it instead? I will be getting the firmware flashed to V5, and having the correct daughterboard installed to work with the 4agze CAS.

Dual channel igniter,
VR4, Evo, or the subaru legacy NA's have good ones up on the firewall too.

Will any dual channel igniter work? Would I be able to buy an MSD one or something?

I've hit up a few people wrecking evos on trademe. i presume I just need the igniter and can use the 4AGZE coils with it?

Sorry if these questions sound dumb, I have NFI on ignition componants and the like. Any help is appreciated :)
