Petrol Price in NZ???

Postby Crampy » Sat Dec 06, 2008 2:53 pm

Hey y'all.

Well after being in Texas for the last four months, it's almost time to come back home.

Just wondering how much pertrol costs these days?
I'm not looking forward to coming home and pay for stuff again, boo!!!

Just for comparison:
I filled up our vehicle here and gas was $1.59 per Gallon.
That's about 42c US a litre, or 78c NZ a litre!!!

I suppose it helps if pump the stuff out of your back yard.

I remember when a tenner would get you about 11 litres.
That was good times.

Still I am glad it has gone down in NZ.

Petrol was $3.50-$3.60 per gallon or something when I first got here and now it's way down to $1.59.

I was reading in a Top Gear mag that over in Europe, they've discovered bacteria which poop petrol :)

Although I think they should be looking for alternatives which at more carbon neutral. God forbid I actually care about the environment! :P
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Bacteria that poop petrol would be completely carbon neutral.

CO2 + H20 in, C8H18 (octane)+ O2 out.
