There is some basic help becide the button. I used a BSFC of .45 however I am running stock compression on a very good flowing engine. I'd try a range of BSFC between .47 and .51 and see if you can get a turbo to suit that range.
Another thing to consider, if you're running a good intercooler ( I run two aftermarket cheap chinese MR2 intercoolers, that work wonderfully!) intake temps will be below the default.
The answer is Helmholtz!

interesting site... it would need a bit more research to be able to accurately fill out the fields in regards to efficiency and air temps. but it appears the 57 trim that was on there was no where near it's efficient range at the h.p. level it was putting out... odd..

Dont worry I cant get the thing to work, doesnt look like the temps etc effect the map much if you play with the numbers.

I do not get this at all cos every turbo says im in the surge range haha. (way to the left of the maps)

I find this one to more accurate

http://www.not2fast.com/turbo/glossary/turbo_calc.shtml#sz?FeetASL=0&Tamb=21&Bore=81.5&Stroke=85.5&nCyl=4&RPM=8000&VE=90&Boost=27&Ec=85&Eic=95&PdropIC=0.5&TambIC=21&wiPercentMethanol=0&wiRate=100&wiTemp=0&SFC=0.49&AFR=11.5&maxInjectorDutyCycle=85

Brings up the correct size turbo to what I am running now and its spot on.

not bad.. i fiddled with the numbers until i got roughly current power output. i droppped the v.e back as i'm still running stock cams and head, ideal turbo seems to be sitting between the 71 and 76 compressors. or between 57 and 60 trim in the old money.
