Just came across this: http://www.tau-sales.com/defaultMall/si ... sNo=222976

Is fitted with a 5.0L V12 (1GZ-FE)!!! Didn't know Toyota even made a V12.
An even better conversion to all things RWD than the 1UZ!

Theres a reference on Wiki to Top Secret building a supra with a 1000HP version of this engine

The older they are, the cooler they are. Though there aren't many generations of them.

Yea, Toyota used these engines in some of the JGTC Supra's, some also used the V8 3UZ's

Are you sure? I think they used 3S-GTE and 3UZ-FE, no reason to use a bigger/heavier motor when output was limited.

no your dreaming of the top secret twin turbo supra. they never used the v12 in jgtc. not in all the years ive watched supra's go round. like postfach said. theres no point using suck a heavy engine when they can easily reach the max hp allowed with the 3sgte and 3uz. hell they even scrapped the 2jz because it was too heavy.

They are a classic WTF Typcial rare Toyota. I love them.

Apparently these are one of those cars that cause Toyota to loose money, as they only make 200 a year or something. But hell they can allow that with the astronomical profits they would make from the mass produced cars.

They are much like a Celsior, accept even more so, basically a better 60-80's American style saloon car! They have so many features it's just ridiculous, on top of the effortless performance and excessively smooth ride.

With that one though, I wouldn't be phased by the 233k's thats nothing really for a car of that nature, would still be immaculate which it appears to be

Problem with them is, parts would excessively expensive, you certainly would not want to have any sort of crash in one!

My Mechanic which has a Red TT 1UZ Supra drag car said to me last year that his shop got a 1GZ-FE V12 in a while ago, they were all excited to see what it was like, yet upon taking the heads off to have a look at how its build.... they found everything was very narrow and a typical 'FE' style - not sporty and wouldn't be a cool as one would imagine with tuning it, sure you could get more out of it but its strictly a cruising engine. He also said that compared, the 1UZFE was far superior in its design and potential.

That would be right, as apparently these have two ECU's factory. Basically they are two straight sizes sharing a single crank.
