doesnt stop an opportunistic theif from damaging locks and windows , and the slight annoyance of fastening the car everyday but apparently quite effective.

Chuck a baby monitor under the drivers seat, turn the reciever (next to your bed) up to a volume level you would wake upto if a noise was made in the car.

Next to the reciever have your 800mm length of steel tube at the ready. Sorted.

I'd think that method would be best. A dog would be the next ideal burglar deterent but you can't always have a dog near your car 24/7 now can you

Have heard of similar method used by people preventing their Harleys getting stolen.

also if a thief cant see its bolted down from the road then they arent likely to have a monster set of boltcutters with them. even then large chain is pretty damn solid and hard to cut and a decent padlock isnt easy to cut either.

most cars stolen to order or by decent professionals are wheeled out of the driveway, alarms usually never go off and GPS tracking is inconsistent.
if i had a worthy car id be bolting that shit down too.
