how to mount my 1jz-ge into my gx71?

Postby docTRD » Tue Jan 06, 2009 3:03 pm

hey all I knw there is probably a bit of info on this sort of stuf on the forum somewhere but i dont think the exact bit of info im after is.

ok so i have just ripped out the 1G-E from the cressida and now i have a 1jz-ge from a jzx90 mark2 ready to go in, only prob is the mounts (obviously). so here is what i have to work with :
1 x set of square rubber mounts from 1G-E
1 x set of jzx90 alloy brackets
1 x pair of rubber insulators (round type) with the 1jzge

I was thinking of angle grinding off the metal welded brackets on the gx71 crossmember then clean it up and then drill some holes for the round style insulators to go on then bolt them up. do u think that is sufficient? any ideas welcome

cheers

you could get an mx73 crossmember (m series) and then buy some mounts from the states. (jz into ma61)

This should work.
