hi, I'm aware not many people will have had much to do with these cars, but finding information is proving to be quite hard!

We're thinking about brake upgrades, especially as we're going to intercool and wind a bit more boost into the 3T. It appears to be a similar setup to an SR coupe, can anyone give me some disc sizes/suspension pics to confirm? Its' leaf rear as well.

Any help would be much appreciated! :)

My thoughts too, but after several younger owners it was inevitable. The 2TB was swapped for a 2TG, then a 3T turbo.. was lowered, then certified, then driven for a bit then parked up for the last 6 years. Someone along the way thought it needed recaros, which were WELDED in (!), and if it was left much longer the rust would have been too far gone to save it!

So yeah, thats' where it is now, sitting de-reg'd and rusty in my mates garage, with a blown turbo.

And besides, its' not my car. :)

*bump*

Factory turbo is absolutely shagged. about 6mm play in the bearing, cracked exhaust manifold and cracked exhaust housing.

What would be a good, cheap upgrade without having to add fuelling? The owner was happy with how fast it was with factory turbo and factory boost, however I'm sure even a T25 or something similar even on factory boost would still be well within factory 3TGTE fuelling limits, and with a small water-to-air intercooler we could expect a decent gain?

The buggered turbo has "CT20" on it, not water cooled, are there any similar turbos to this on later Toyotas that could be just swapped in?

can prove it yet as i havn't started to build the new engine, but the 3SGT turbos appearantly only require slight slotting of the holes to fit 3TGT manifold
