But they have yet to take me to court, and if they do so and I lose, I have to pay the damn court costs anyway :?

It's not like I'm not turning up to hearings

thats how ppl clock up several K worth of fines
only way to make it go away is to go to court. or pay it

No, they clock up several grand by doing the same stupid shit over and again and getting nailed for it each time. After the final reminder letter it gets sent to the courts who add $130 in fees, and if its not paid they can either take it from your pay or summons you to take it from you then and there.
Been there, done that.
Easiest way, is let it go to the courts, accept the extra fee and pay it off at $5 a week, let the bastards work for it ;)

Last time I was in court for silly things (this was back in 99/2000) there was a guy there who ws bragging about his $30k of fines he'd managed to accumulate. Lotta dumb shit like getting pink stickered, and removing it and keeping on driving...could get $3k worth of fines in an evening like that easy 8O

I managed to get a ticket for 15 over 90 with a trailer, on boxing day!.

It was about 5 min north of Foxton - Apparently there is a real prick along that stretch. Seemed like ticketing quota exercises.

He said i was doing 105km/h but i said i was sure that the GPS never went over 100!! I said that GPS was about 97km/h and that i was behind a bunch and i asked how he knew it was me that was speeding and he was really a prick about it and explained it like i was stupid.

Said to him that there was nothing i could and that i didnt agree with it...

thinking about just paying it as i dont really know how to write a long complaint.

Hmmm.....

Not sure of the description, but from what I remember Leon was towing a racecar on a trailer and they were being held up by some numpty doing 60km/h on SH1, just before Foxton I think the guy turned off and a cop saw the line of traffic and tried to book him for holding up traffic??

This is just off my memory which is bad at the best of times, He might see this and fill you in on the details?
