Yes it is my car, I have had 2 people who know me personally very well see it in the last 3 weeks.

It is the same car.

Yes I have double checked.

I have done a VIR already.

Same Mags, exhaust system etc etc.

He has just put plates on it to make it look legit.

If he has access to those plates, wouldn't you think that they're probably off his car, therefore the police could go around to his address and see if your car is there?

Do the plates he has on it match the area it was spotted?

i.e. are the plates registered to him so you can find him?

No insurance?

Perhaps put up the phone numbers of local cop shops? 111 isn't the place to be calling about stolen cars!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

111 is to get the cops to the location to catch the $&#$%.

And no I can't get his address, but the VIR says he is located in Sandringham so he's close by.

That comes up as an AE110 Trueno FZ 1500 red, 1996. Plus, it is actually registered and warranted.

How sure are we that it's not just a perfectly innocent car that looks the same as yours? Have you actually seen it with your own eyeballs?

There has to be more to this story, if you're saying that the driver of that car is dangerous.

So you know enough to know that he has a record, and when you went to the police and said <guy with record> has been seen driving my car, go get him... they said?

They said there was not enough evidence or proof to go on, and go to the address registered to the plate.
Plus their resources for stolen cars is rubish.

I've given up picking up the insurance cheque on tuesday hopefully.

Thanks for your help everyone and thanks admins for letting me repost in here.
