Driveshaft oil seal

Postby solitaire » Sat Jan 24, 2009 6:08 pm

Hiya,

I just bought a new driveshaft oil seal for a 3sgte.

it got left in the sun for a couple of hours and has gone from black to a purplish color. the plastic feels exactly the same as before and is still just as flexible.

is it likely to be rooted do you think?

It should be made of Nitrile which means that it doesnt like being under sunlight? Will just replace it if it is a cheap part.
