Because Toyota's now all about little cars that are environmentally friendly. I wish they would release another facelift model/re-designed supra. LED Rear Lights, HID's, new dash (but still keep the cockpit feel), etc.

im pretty sure toyota didn't have environmentally friendly in mind when they built the ISF even though it still meets those criteria its no i-go

this has actually been the worlds slowest build (assuming toyota/TRD are acutally helping will out financially) still $&#$% mean none the less

Not funded, just supported with parts.

Revvy you could posibly testify to this I wonder if this car has as many TRD bits as my car has.I've basically killed the TRD catalogue the only thing I think I don't have is the TRD Diff.

Yeah Toyota NZ we bit more cautious as to what they put there money to after a total amature wrote off there last demostration vechile and it didn't even have half the power of the supra

2jayzgte, from looking at the piles of boxs, Id say this car has pretty much the entire TRD catalogue thrown at it from front to back, plus a few numbers from trust, garret, turbonetics, tien, apexi

I'm pretty sure a full spec sheet will be released shortly

Well, Lexus isn't Strictly 'Toyota', though it is a branch of Toyota.

The cars branded 'Toyota' are mostly environmentally friendly, Lexus is the branch that isn't as much into that.

That's why a lot of people are thinking the (now scrapped??) Lexus LF-A was supposed to be the new supra. Though, In my mind, if it's not a Toyota, and not called a supra, then it's not.
Cheers,
Brandon

Yeah, a couple of amature driver's took it for a test drive and managed to destroy it, but can't speak about it to much on these forums else the topic will get locked or deleted as the driver or a friend of views these forums, I think there are still a few hurt ego's over the whole incident hahahahaha

Never lend you powerful car to someone who think's they can drive but can't was a pity as well as the Altezza was really begining to look the bussiness

not quite correct in all details there justin  but doesnt really matter anymore... other than its a good idea to becareful of who you insult if your not sure of their identity!

Lexus most certainly is toyota, and have even more hybrid models branded "lexus" then "toyota" so your a bit a off the mark there snaps!
other than the lx470 theres a hybrid version of pretty much all lexus models.

as for which supra has the most TRD items? i dont really know, i mean are you going to count gear knobs etc?
not that it really matters, but i'd say the drift one has used TRD where they are applicable to the job, and other brands such as TEIN suspension, as TRD dont really do a set suitable for drifting.

I don't no it could be a close call I no for sure that car won't have the

TRD Bonnet
TRD Rear Spoiler
TRD Monoblock Brake Kit

I'm telling you now I just about got everything you can have for the supra out of that TRD catalogue....

As Revvy is my witness he can atest to most of it.

I know for definate it wasn't you Mr Revhead so not to concerned, but I think it could have been better dealt with at the time, a little bit more openess would have stopped alot of the rumors that went around on the internet at the time

If I have insulted anyone on this forum, my advise would be to take a drivng lesson :P

lets put it this way. some times things break on cars.

coryn, its quite possible that a check would reveal only one set of those monoblocks etc being sold. as there prob was only your set sold! the ones on the drift car will prob have been "sponsored" thru certain channels :P

 i can see this turning into a "who has the most trd bits" thread. that looks/sounds like a sweet car - but this topic is worthless without specs and since OP won't be making the super secret 500hp specs public....i guess we can all drool over the awesome TRD sticker

I didn't mean Lexus isn't Toyota. I meant that Lexus isn't the same name as Toyota. The Toyota name has made itself renown for making small, economical cars over the past few years.
I just meant that Toyota isn't the most likely to release a sports car (unless it's a Hybrid) and that Lexus is the part of Toyota that that sort of car would be named under. Lexus hasn't completely made the reputation for itself of it's cars being as economical as Toyota's (though most Lexus's do come in Hybrids).

Anyway, this isn't the point of the thread. The supra looks great and it'll be good to hear more about it in the future!
Cheers,
Brandon

No, the FT-HS was the new "Supra" (was a Toyota and a 6 Cylinder).
LF-A was just a fancy pants Lexus.
Doesn't really matter though as neither car will ever see the light of day.
