another injector Q...

Postby stalker » Wed Jan 28, 2009 6:40 pm

So did some searching and didnt quite answer my Q.

Whats the best injector size to use on a 4agTe (silvertop) with the aim of 250rwKw's??
Would 2jzgte vvti injectors (550cc) be good? Or would they be to big, or to small?? (im guessing to small rather than too big).

Most of the project cars on here seem to be running around the 550's, so I take it there arent any issues with these?

On a side note: does anyone know a rough price for "new" 2jz injectors? (just didnt want to bug Mark again for prices, and the toyota parts down the road dont appear to know what a toyota is sometimes...lol)

Cheers
:)

arent silvertop injectors side feed? not certain about 2jz vvti 550s, but I know the earlier stock 440s are top feed.

All 2JZ-GTE injectors are Side Feed
All 2JZ-GE Injectors are Top Feed
All 7M-GTE Injectors are Top Feed

Be warned the VVTI ones are a bit odd and are not the same as the non-VVTI ones (will not fit in the rails).

Hmmm, ok, so does that mean that the VVTI ones wont fit my rail?
The ones im looking at (from what I was told) are: 2JZ GTE VVTI ones. Got a sort of pink-ish top to them.

huh? are you sure?

Im not saying you are wrong, but I bought some off a mate and they were yellow, 440cc, top feed and went straight into 4agze fuel rail. He upgraded his supra to usa spec turbos and injectors which required resistors to run them as low impedence. They were definately out of his 2JZGTE Supra cos he brought the whole fuel rail into work and I took the four out I needed as he didnt need them anymore?

Could be an odd model Supra maybe??

AFAIK the JDM Supra MKIV turbo is 440cc, while the USDM got the 540cc injectors.

Common upgradez for Gen 2 MR2's as they just slot right in, which I did in my case.

And the MR2 440's slot into some 4A-G's... which I dunno which ones but you 4AGE guys will know more about it. 440cc sidefeeds.
