I am in no way shape or form on anyones side but maybe they should have looked into it abit further before they start saying stuff they are not to sure about...

A couple of examples...
The FTP symbol, a skull with a Stormtrooper helmet, can be seen on many boy-racer cars. <----The FTP symbol?? Ummm The Metal Mulisha symbol?? Motocross clothing label?

Investigations into the boy-racer anti-police movement FTP (F... the Police) after last Friday night's attack on a lone Christchurch police officer <----After friday nights attack?? FTP has been in hiphop/rap songs for like ever??

She was also part of a "white alliance, Christian, Odinist, National Socialist, Skinhead, Defender, Confederate" group. Her Bebo site was festooned with Nazi iconography, and pictures of her friends showed young men and women with shaven heads giving Nazi salutes. <---- its not hard to set up a whole "Bebo" page using Google "images"

So Im not taking sides or anything I just think that a couple of things said in that were incorrect?

man... ftp has been around for ages! and chch has had alot of skin heads for just as long.. im not disputing that theyv got problems with the dikheads down thea but im geting sick of all this anti "boy-racer" crap... and its going to get worse befour it gets better... its become too easy for anyone to be labild a boy racer now... and the term just annoys me...
and this is just an example of it.. theyr making statments and clames about stuff they dont understand.. making it seem everyone into cars is a skinhead and goes round chanting FTP or something...

Have you not seen the lead stories of the news lately? Boy racer this boy racer that, then go and use footage of my car to help fuel their bullshit. Getting harrased by mechanics, wof people, police etc for the fact my car doesnt have factory bumpers or wheels. Ok at the moment my exhaust is noisier than stock, but thats cos I havnt changed it back since the last legal drag meet that my car crapped out on soon after so havnt bothered with.

Having to prove Im within the law to a bunch of failed mechanics at the VTNZ is not my idea of fun. Because of the publics lack of perception and the media blowing a heap of stuff out of proportion, Im seen in the same light as a select few $&#$% by a large amount of the general population, and Im sure its the same with alot of people on here.

How has that changed since the recent media attention?? VTNZ have always been a bunch of pain in the ass muppets, that's why most people don't go there. My car is a lot louder than stock (as anyone who's heard a stock Soarer will agree with) and I haven't had a problem yet.

And by and large the general population is probably just as sick of hearing about it as we are, but they're too apathetic to worry about it, it's mainly the small group of people creating trouble, a small group kicking up a big fuss about it, with the police in the middle, probably playing a political game to get more funding or power to deal with situations beyond their control.

I never had any issue with vtnz until recently.

Things never used to be this bad. Back when I was younger I did partake in the illegal skids, but we always drove out there normally, there was a patch of unused old highway about 1/2 hour out of town, Miles away from any houses or buildings and at least 100 metres from the nearest road.

Not saying that makes it any better but there was a mutual unspoken respect amongst us and the police. We didnt draw attention to ourselves heading there, and they didnt bust it up cos they can, more often than not, they set up a checkpoint down the road to make sure tyres wof/rego/licences were all legit.
Now the muppet to non muppet ratio has gone up the shit, people seem to forget that this behaviour has been going on for generations, its just theyre targeting an entire group rather than the select few within it that are causing all the hassle

I'm a bit worried about his one...
I got a crappy old 1992 Mazda familia all factory right down to the exhaust and hubbys except for one of these stickers I put on the back as a joke... I'm now worried people might think I'm a neo-nazi skin head and do something to my car or something.... I'm considering taking it off.
Might be a bit extreme but with all the public outcry i'm not 100% sure what people in the general public are going to do.
