Fiberglass Bodykit Repair

Postby MR2BOY23 » Wed Feb 04, 2009 8:13 pm

Reversed into a post :D  Pretty stupid of me. Umm its got about a 10cm crack going down to the bottom of the bumper. Can you use ordinary car filler on this or do you need a special fibreglass filler?Ive been told I might need to take the bumper off however , so might needa get a pro on the job :P

Anyone one on toyspeed know of any good panel beaters? Or anyone a panel beater on here

Thanks

Try these guys:

I'm looking at taking my MR2 there when I finally get a source of income (Oh these are tough times)
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Good luck with the 1 hour fix  *hopes to be proven wrong*

I have a nice crack in my front kit as people can't navigate properly in car parks. I decided if I tried to fix it myself it would look worse so just put some touch up paint on it

What are you on about, the hardest bit about fiber glass repair is the painting ;).
It is piss easy to fix, and cheap.
Just get to a boat shop/bunnings/mitre 10 and buy some resin/glass mesh and some good filler and you are all set.
