Guard Flaring

Postby -MATT- » Mon Feb 09, 2009 9:58 am

Ok so I have had the lip rolled on my rear guards but they still hit when going over a slight bump with just one person in the back. The part hitting the tyre just where the guard meets the back bumper. I was thinking of fitting flares or just getting the guards rolled out a bit.
Does anyone recommend a place to get this done?

Cheers,

Matt

Either your bumper meets with the guard in a very strange way (ie. quite high up the arch) or your wheel moves in a very strange direction when your suspension compresses...

When in doubt, down and out.

Could be like my 101's, they rub where the bumper meets the guard as that section is about 20mm more towards the tyre, and they also rubbed on the piece of plastic that protects the filler..

101 FX's seems to just be full of design flaws at that end of the car!
