WTF is this thing?

Postby Mr-Hiney » Wed Nov 26, 2008 6:34 pm

hoping you guys can help me out. this little switch has been driving me crazy since we got the car.

when i switch it on, it beeps for about a second then stops... and makes no other sounds, lights or anything happen. and when its switched on, each time you turn the car on, it again beeps for a second and nothing happens.

its on a 1990 toyota celica (the pop up lights one)

That switch is higher up above the indicator stalk next to the instrument panel.
The beeping sounds parking sensor like but did they even have parking sensors in 1990?

yeah does anyone know what that is?

It beeps every time my girlfriend starts her 89 GT4. AND it randomly flashed intermitantly the other night. I had her flick the switch while looking at the lower fog lights but it did nothing...

Anyone?

Postby ax_zino » Mon Feb 16, 2009 1:55 pm

my old st182 came with a switch very similar that turned on the auto headlight unit (one that turn on automatically when it gets dark). Awesome tech for 1990
