degrease the whole thing, run it for a bit and then look where it is coming from, it should be easy to see once its nice and clean.

4AGE is likely to be rocker cover gasket or distributor seal/oring. Clean up around those and see where the leaks coming from. Failing that, front seals if its at that end of the engine, or the rear main if its coming from between the engine and gearbox

interesting must be the rocker cover gasket and distributor seal so far but i dont think that explains why its on the alternator as well unless its landing on the belt and throwing the oil on to the alternator lol i will get some degrease 2day.

It's not a big deal coming out the front, just annoying. How long till cambelt needs doing? Have to pull everything off to do seals so just do them when you do cambelt. Oil around spark plugs is probably just run off from not getting all the oil in the filler hole

some was run off but when you run the motor it bubbles over the number 2 lead.was told motor was rebuilt recently so not 4 another 100km lol now i know why the guy told me to run shit oil haha.i drove down from gisborne oil was fine in hawks bay but could have developed the leak anywhere after that.after arriving in dunedin the next day i noticed a puddle of oil under the car checked oil and there was nothing so im praying that it had enough on the way down.

note after thinking about it some more it would have almost certainly been leaking on the way down and would have leaked the last of the oil when i parked up in dunedin as it was parked on the 4th street hill leaning forward.
