Stolen: Red '77 B1600 wellside ute in Hamilton - Reg IJ6865

Yup, Hamilton scum are up to no good again.

My friend's '77 Mazda B1600 in gloss red was taken approx 11:30pm last night from around the Lake/Central area. It's pretty standard looking, distinguishable features would be bullbars, wellside (which is a bit rusty), large mesh silver sun visor on windscreen, 'princess' badge on the bonnet, standard black steelies with chrome center hubcaps, rust on the sills, passenger side door and top of driver's side guard (repaired with plates painted black). Rego number IJ6865.

Unfortunately as it was just a cheap daily hack he didn't have insurance.

From the sounds of it it's in a good state, maybe damage to locks/ignition but it seems it was just taken for a joy ride, they realised how slow and how crap the brakes were, and then they dumped it.
