Another way for control arm bushes is to drill several holes through the rubber around the crush tube, which will be enough to pull the entire lot out reasonably quickly, then carefully hacksaw through the shell in a couple of places and it comes out piece of cake.
With a good drill, it oughtnt take more than a couple of minutes to get them out.

Did this with the AW11 kit and it worked mint. Bit of $&#$% around that a real press and some thicker walled pipe for supports. But did the job in the end.

Dremel tool with a cutting wheel would work well too, always good to have one of these tools in the garage. Flexi head is good for getting into tight spaces as well.
