Although I doubt this is the cause of the original fault I would never alter the FPR setup without remapping.... EVER.
Post up your map, or at least a link to your MAP. I suspect that you're going over temp and its reducing the RPM limit to match. I'd temporarily remove the temp based limiters.
Remember that your ECU will have a temp sender in a different location to your gauge and can read considerably different.
By the way, your ECU temp sender isn't anywhere near the turbo water vent is it?

Sorry about the delayed responce been rather busy, Do you want me to post up the map of the ecu ie print screen. All the limiters have been turned off and the ecu has been remapped for the 2 new fuel pumps and pressure reg on the dyno and ran mint on the dyno but when it started to get hotter under normal road conditions (not dyno as it is so cold with air being blown everywhere etc..) it started to play up as i have said. by changing the dwel settings on the coils from 3 milli seconds down to 2 milliseconds it semmed to improve/ delay this from happeing.

Im pressurming it is the coils are past there used by date or the ignitor.

Ecu temp sender and gauges are both in standard place side by side above the water pump. Not sure what you mean by turbo water vent..

The link's have different dwell settings for voltage dont they?
If the link is getting 10v not 13 or 14v, it may extend the dwell and overheat the coils??
