Changing brake lights - ST183

Postby GTTpower » Tue Mar 10, 2009 7:10 pm

Ok my brother has a ST183 Celica and the brake light bulbs need replacing, had a look in the boot and covering the lights is a big steel body panel with wires coming out, and for the life of me I couldnt figure out how to change them out.

Is there an obvious/easier way of doing it that Ive missed?

General rule of thumb on removal of parts is to unbolt things until what you want off.... falls off.

Surely lights can't be THAT complicated.

Do it from the outside of the car, not the inside. Start by pulling the vent bit off from the side iirc. Cant remember where the bolts are, but i do remember its a sealed unit seperate from the car, and you need to take the cluster out to change bulbs.
