Ha and the others didn't have the advantage of being dumped in the fastest car full of stolen technology like him either.

Lewis Hamilton I'm assuming your talking about and overated um I think not I think he's the real deal to be fair sure he landed in a fast car but thats not his fault,Ron Dennis has been looking after him for the last 10 or however many years what other team is he going to go to.

Everyone thinks Vettels good and he is but you could call him over-rated as well as without the Ferrari engine that Torro Rosso car would have been average aswell.Just imagine if it had that Sh*t-box Renault engine do you think he would have had the same impact I think not.

Didn't Hamilton also come second equal in 2007 with a team mate who was in the exact same car, who also had a couple of F1 championships under his belt?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Well intersting times in the pre season testing. Brawn GP have beens howing some serious pace, topping the times from yesterday. Wouldnt it be funny if they actually were competitive thsi year and challengine for victories, I;m sure there would be some red faces at Honda

Intresting to read that Massa was very suprised by Brawn Speed

He was rather shocked as he said teams were out on differnt fuel loads, but even still no one could match Brawn car for pace

Man Honda will be gutterd if Ross has built a rocket of a car this season

Then again Id have Ross Brawn in my f1 team before anyone else anytime, he is the major part of the reason MS won two titles with benneton and 4 with Ferrari

Well has just been anounced that this years titke will be decided by the driver who claims the most victories. The same points as last year will be awarded, but only used if two or more drivers are ties on wins at seasons end.

The other big news item was that there is a proposal for a optional 30mil budget cap starting next year. Those who take the option are going to be given more freedom in the technical specs of the cars. While I think that the 30mill sounds like a semi good idea, it is no where near enough to run a F1 team, so don;t realy seem how it would be feasible at this stage.

I dont like this new rule of whoever wins the most gets the title. Dont think they have that system anywhere else so why should it be in F1.

yeah

its always been about most points
and so it should be. if they want to convince drivers to make the effort to pass more (as if F1 drivers arnt motivated) then increase points gaps

FOTA's idea for a points change was much better. This is all about Mad Max trying to prove that he weilds the biggest stick and just proves that he doesn't care about what the competitors or viewing public wants.

Time for those break-away series rumours to start up again I think

Yeah I have been looking at this and it sucks.

The guys on 10/10th's did some analysis, the only championship this would have changed since 1990 is last year. A total of 13 championships would have been different if you go back to 1950.

So a historical problem that the FIA decide to fix after Lewis wins the championship and because Max has to prove he is king dick in what we can hope is his final year as FIA president.

If you take this system to a possible end you get.

Driver 1 - 17 Races, 6 Wins, 2 seconds and 9 DNF's = 78 Points and the Championship Winner.
Driver 2 - 17 Races, 5 Wins, 9 Seconds, 3 DNF's = 122 Points and 2nd in the Championship!

How is that a good idea?

IMHO our only hope is the Jean Todt's seperation from Ferrari (Final this week) clears the way for a run at the presidency.

For those Anti Max types, this a full list of those who made the new points vs wins decision as well as other idiot decisions. Includes Jean Todt and many others.

Ever heard of political factions... how else do you think Max got resounding approval for continuing on as president when he should have been removed???

As for Jean Todt, I doubt he was present as he no longer has any association with F1 or even Ferrari for that matter. Even if he was he only has one vote.

As do they all. Showing a list of members is hardly indicative of how each has voted.

Exactly. They vote along factional lines which is why this absurd stuff gets passed, because some person who shall remain nameless controls the majority of the votes.

I see now they've had to back down because they were breaking their own rules trying to introduce something this late without the approval of all the teams entered for this season
