Other than the BOV being mounted at the wrong end (IMO) what's wrong with that? Sure it's a bit ugly, but it works?

i replaced the motor with a turbo 3SGTE motor out of a celica GT4. I have done this because this car is way lighter and being FWD, gets more power to the ground therefor is alot faster then a gt4.

and dont be fussy! it may be a little horey but he bult the car for "go not for show"

oh but ist got a mint sound system too!!! 10 speakers!! 8)

exhaust manifold stud missing? Oxy sensor with the wire snipped (Fuel $$) Oil filter may be hard to get at?

Could do with some decent heat shielding too.....Alternator wires, intake pipe will get nice and hot.....kinda offsetting that Front mount Intercooler ;)

How about the intake pipe running very close to the exhaust off the turbo? Might as well not have an intercooler!

But yea, I also noticed the oxy sensor with no wire, the missing nut and the BOV being after the intercooler.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I could be wrong, but the reason I picked that out was because what I was always made to believe was that the best place to put is is as close to the turbo as possible, so that when the throttle is closed as much air coming back towards the turbo as possible will be vented back out.

Someone enlighten me if that's wrong

interesting, im no expert by any stretch but my reasoning has always been that the closer it is to the TB the better - as this is where the pressure builds up first when the butterfly closes.

yeh cant see major benefits in either posisition, back to the celica tho it thinks its quite resonably priced

my preferance was always pre intercooler so you dont vent all the charge air that was cooled by the IC (and wasting energy as a result). I imagine there's some proper way to do it, but in street cars the differances would be negligible (ie: file it under the folder with turbo timers on street driven foresters :P)
