possibly buy the best protective polish you can buy, or maybe smear your paint in sunscreen? :lol:

Give it a good cut and polish to bring the colour back or meguairs colorx. Then use some good protective wax like next generation tech wax, theres only so much you can do with those older red cars.

red fades. happens with anything red, it fades worse than any other colour.

thanks 4 the replies, im going to pop down supercheap auto sometime and get some good polish, i waxed not long ago and you can start to notice it fading.
Every fortnight, ill give it a polish :D

just be cerful if you get cut and polish, you can only do it so many times befour you get to the undercote (my brother did it to my car befour i got it)
would sending it somewhere to get profeshonail cu and polish and a clere cote work?

Waxed my red starlet a while ago, made a huge difference to the colour. However your always going to be limited by the actual quality of the paint/clearcoat

Its not harmless, it does take a layer off ;) If you're not careful it can go through the top coat.

Someone polished my MR2 way too much. The badges on the back have got white edges and one part on the boot has a white patch. :lol:

The paint on the wing on the back oxidises very fast. I polish it with Repco cleaner wax but the rain just washes it off.
Maybe I need something better that lasts longer. Or the paint is just too far gone.
