Veilside Bodykits

Postby MR2BOY23 » Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:10 pm

Has anyone ever seen a veilside bodykit that they like or would put on their car? For some reason I really don't like them, Is it just me or do other people agree. Below are some examples, the only one I can think of that looks decent is the rx7.
No offense to anyone who has one on their car....

Yup. Their yellow NSX with airbags/hydraulics.

Not that i could afford either a nsx or a genuine kit!

The rx8 one isn't that bad, the fornt is a bit wierd but I could live with it. The rest aren't my cup of tea though

i think all those pictures are fairly bad representations of the possibilities, with the exception of the RX-8 one

ie shit wheel choice, (wtf is up with that mr2 in particular) needs more low etc etc

veilside build some amazing cars but to me its more like 'holy $&#$% look at that' at a car show

half arsed attempts to recreate in NZ come off poorly

that 300zx is an abomination and the owner needs to be shot and thrown off a cliff. i dont understand how people can be so blind to the effects of choosing wheels with the wrong offset for their car!

I wouldn't go near my JZA80 with a veilside kit. They're just horrid!

The problem with Veilside kits are that they don't match or accentuate the existing lines of the car. You just end up with one kind of lines on the top of the car, and outrageous weird bumps and bludges on the bottom.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Haha, looks like they strectched the front out by like 2 feet.
I liked the wide body kit that was on Best Motoring.
That white and blue MRS, that was a nice body kit.

They seem to like to stretch the nose out and put the step in middle of the front lip.

It definatly blends with the car better than all their previous kits!

Not all veilside is bad. In fact most veilside bodykits ON THEIR DEMO CARS are works of art. It's the "combat" bodykit from the 90's that's been copied and modified to fit just about every known car that gives them a bad reputation

Their nsx and rx7 are works of art as are their 1100hp r34, supra, r32 etc etc etc
