Yeah the night he died it was one of the last posts I had read before turning my computer off to go to bed, and my closing ponderings for that night had been "barryogen" is a really odd user name for someone called Dave - I must ask him where he got it from. It was surreal to see the next post with his name on it was about his passing :?

And now I'll never know. As Blake said, its a solid reminder of how fragile life is.

I believe it was a nickname he had been given in the past.......

Bogan.........B[arry]ogen........Or something similar.

Sad to see the guy pass, so young :(

Holey %@&!. 8O 8O

This certainly bought tears to my eyes. :( Dave was a bloody awesome guy and was always very chatty and lively at meets ('life of the party' type of guy).

I used to see him more often than we had Dunners TS meets, as he used to shop at my work (New World). If memory serves me right he came in either the day of his crash or the day before - and introduced me to his wife at the same time.

He wasn't sure if he'd be at the next meet (but was planning to) as their anniversary was the day before it?

He was also quite keen to learn about/see my new Skyline, and to show me his Altezza.

I'm shocked to be honest, it always happens to the good guys. :(

R.I.P. Dave - you will be really sorely missed. :(

If anyone would like to send a card or anything to Dave's wife PM me and i can give you the address.

I think a card signed by heaps of ToySpeed members would be a good idea?

Maybe write what you want on a piece of paper, scan (if possible - if not maybe a decent photo of it will do) and maybe someone with photoshop skills can compile it all into a card?

Condolences to Daves friends and family, he will most certainly be missed and remembered on this board.

Good idea.
Or make a virtual card (forum thread) and paste it with all different fonts.

Its shame that things like this happen to people that really don't deserve to have them happen.
I hope his family finds out about this thread and reads it so they can see how he influenced and touched total strangers.

pretty much sums it up very sad news to the whole scene.

Stunned, I am. His were contributions I had a lot of respect for.

RIP mate. Condolances to your family and friends. I think the outpouring of respect on here speaks for itself.
