Also weren't Toyota, for a while there, the only manufacturer to make their own turbos?

that sounds about right, unfortunatly these days im unsure whos making what for who.
cutting corners in many ways is a sign of the times for alot to keep heads above water, i would still rather pay extra to get quaility and it doesnt take much more to do so.
but i guess when your making thousand of parts then 10c increase per item adds up.
