ok so the new car has no sounds i have a few ods and sods around namely my fusion powerplant 4 inch speakers that are almost brand new but the issue is is that they have a rather large magnet at the back i mean rather large and they dont fit now someone has allready butchered the front holes ie cut the grills out now my question is what would you guys do file out the plastic to get them to fit or use a wooden spacer (i have no shortage of them ) thats capeted to get it to fit?

few ways strengthen the mounts, make a space or fiberglass it in

Ive got a similar but somewhat resolved issue.
I bought brand new Focals for my car, and a spacer.
The door card was already hacked up for the old USAUDIO speakers.
I got 2 screws in, and the other 2 zip tied...heh
The Focal components were much, much bassier then the old speakers so there's lots of rattling now. Solved a bit of rattling with duct tape.

i sorted it i go the file out and filed the holes slightly to fit its pretty snug. now my second question where is good to run the power cable that is easily accessable from under the dash. to pull it through on the other side any tips and tricks last car i did this on was an escort and there is sweet fa under the dash.
