AE85 Trueno + Levin Fusebox?

Postby matt dunn » Wed Apr 01, 2009 10:58 pm

My Ae85 Trueno came with no under bonnet fusebox.

I managed to get a fusebox and fitted it in fine,
(an AE85 one as the AE86 is supposedly different.)

Now the headlights would not raise or lower,
and after a while tracing the fault,
it turned out to be missing a power feed,
which I traced to a fuse blanked off in the underbonnet fusebox.
If i fed power down the wire the lights are sweet.

Problem is there is no power to the live side of the fuse either,
unless I bridge out another couple of feeds in the fusebox,
and I have no idea what rating the fuse is meant to be.

So, looking for a photo of....

AE85 Trueno underbonnet fusebox, without the cover on so I can see what relays are fitted, and what ratings the main fuses are,
and also if someone has one with the diagram on the lid,
a photo of that too.

Exactly the pic you I am after.

I that pink coloured fuse in the corner a 30 or a 40 A,
and if you take the cover off where there is a relay missing beside it,
is there a shorting pin underneath to join to circuits together.

I actually found a good wiring manual on the net last night and may have it sorted now.

Thats ok.

I can tell you then that the shorting pin and that fuse are for the Headlight retractor system.
