5mm is probably fine.

Is the car running at the moment?

Get a crowbar in there and see if you really lean on it if you can make it hit....

my problem is if i have 10mm at the bottom i have 5mm between bonnet and engine! or 5 mm at bottom 10mm at top :/ cant lean it over anymore else ill have the engine laying on the brake master cyl ive got 10mm clearence on that atm if i removed the butterflys from the intake it would give me more room and could lean the engine over and lift it but then id lose bottom end torque/speed...

Try it and see if it work. If not, hit the sump with a hammer :)

If its pretty solid then you're not likely to have any issues

5mm will be all good. long as engine mounts arent too soft. my car only has 5mm or so clearance.
