Drags on 12th April

Postby matt dunn » Sun Apr 05, 2009 1:19 pm

Sent an email away as last time I went to the drags they were cancelled,

and here is the reply I got.

To All Racers, Staff, Crews, Sponsors, Volunteers, Spectators

Bad news, our printer is not yet fixed, the technology is so old parts are hard to find, fixing one problem is throwing up others. Hand writing tickets is too laborious and does not allow us to run a meeting efficiently so we have sadly decided to cancel the April 12 th meeting.

We are still go for the April the 26 th and this will be our 40 th anniversary meeting and final comp meet of the season.

And there last date is 26th April, which I cannot make it too,

so another year goes by and I still haven't made it there for a run with the 7AGTE.

truely pathetic, just when you think they cant possibly stoop any lower this happens. I urge all people out there who are sick of the constant incompetence of the current hierarchy to voice their opinion via email or however they see fit, something has to change or the sport will die in the south island. Seems to me theres alot of excuses being thrown around but no solutions, some research into how Meremere is run might be a good start. Myself and some friends loyal to the sport have come up with some solutions to the problems which im goin to present to one of the commitee members, whether they act on them or not will remain to be seen.

At least this time I emailed them and found out before hand,

Last time I spent a week preparing the car,
then towed it all the way up there,
only for them to cancel it then.

They should update their website also,
as a few people I have talked to today were still planning on going too.

it was a canterbury car club event that killed their printer :P maybe i should stop using my time slips as note paper, they might be valuable as one of the last ever printed
we just have pegasus bay run everything at the CCC days, otherwise it would be timed by stopwatch...
